About...

During the reign of Emperor Yao, the people of ancient China were constantly plagued by deadly floods along the Yellow River. Eager to stop the devastation, Yao commissioned Gun, one of his officials, to devise a plan. After nine years of failed attempts with dams and levees, Gun's term came to a dubious end. After his death, Yu inherited his father's legacy. Learning from Gun's failures, Yu set about building a series of canals to direct the flooded river to nearby fields and smaller waterways.

Legacy of Yu is a non-linear, single-player, fully resettable campaign game in which you play as the legendary Xia Dynasty hero Yu the Great. Your task is to build the canals before the impending flood, while defending your growing colony from neighboring barbarian tribes. Each game introduces new narratives and gameplay elements. The campaign features a self-balancing system that adapts to your results and ends when you have won or lost 7 games.
