We recommend using the following procedure, but if you use a commercial fixative, follow the instructions described by the merchant.

1. Before washing your fabric in small batches, make sure to wash colored fabrics separately to avoid any color transfer.
2. Use cold water.
3. Use a detergent that does not contain bleach or harsh chemicals.
4. When first washing the fabric, we suggest adding a cup of white vinegar and a cup of coarse salt with your detergent in your washing tub filled with water. Vinegar and coarse salt help fix the dye and prevent the color from bleeding.

By following these washing instructions, you should be able to fix the dye on your fabric and maintain vibrant and bright color for a long time.
